Postby jacopo » Fri Nov 11, 2011 10:23 am

hi
i'm italian(sorry for bad english),and i have a bad refresh
i'm studying the trading on horse racing in this period whit videos, because in the last 7 months my earn on betfair is very very small, almost 0

i have 2 questions:

why the money matched sometimes are calculate double and sometimes are calculate normal( 2pounds matched? sometimes sign 2pounds,othertimes sign 4 pounds)
the rule say double, but often calculate normal and not double...when and why does it happen?

and the second question is about the api requests
the rule not explain good
can i request more than 20request for second? no?? but the rule explain not good..and when i try to do more than 20 requests i don't pay it!(wednesday my throttling for 2 minutes was 33..but the day after i pay nothing for this) anyone know the exact rule??

sorry for horrible and thanks for the answer
ciao

Sorry, I've never seen this happen. The program is correctly displaying values it receives from the API. If you could provide screenshots proving there is a problem I can investigate.

The rule is that you cannot make more than 20 requests per second without being eligible for the charge, but this can be offset by commission you have paid. So you must have paid enough commission to avoid the charge. See http://www.betfair.com/www/GBR/en/about ... r.Charges/
where it states the following.
Potential Charges Offset by Commission, Implied Commission and API Subscriptions

The following amounts are multiplied by 5 and the total is used to offset any potential charge:

Total commission you generated during the day
Total implied commission you generated during the day
API subscription payments adjusted to a daily figure. A £200 monthly subscription equates to a daily amount of £6.58 [=(£200*12) / 365].

The forum doesn't directly support uploading videos, but if you can find somewhere to host your file then you can post the link on the forum. Alternatively you can email the video to admin@gruss-software.co.uk and we will post the link.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
