Quick Pick List - Buggered up for today by BetFair.

Postby Happy Harry » Sat Dec 17, 2011 2:53 am

Hi there Garry.

BetFair have made a mess of the AutoSelect RaceDay Lists for today in Australia. They have, for Ascot, Flemington and Warwick Farm added some Christmas Specials - Head to heads. The problem is that by doing so, when the QuickPick List loads, the "Specials" have the same race time but are after the normal markets. So when the race comes up, BA loads the first race, the second race [and then particularly for Flemington], the third race but does not have time to place the bets on the main market.

Not your fault at all and the fix for right now is to manually edit out and delete all the races that we dont want.

Hopefully you can give this issue some thought and come up with a solution.

Thanks.
Happy Harry

It's a right pain.

My routines are not impacted in that I use Auto-select based on Scheduled start, it then moves on to the next race and, fortunately, the specials all come after the actual race details so BA simply continues through the Specials.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
