Time difference between BetTrader & BA

Postby GR » Tue Dec 20, 2011 2:50 pm

I've just subscribed to BA as I plan to do Excel triggered betting. However I have also been using BetTrader while learning the ropes.
I have noticed that the time shown on BetTrader appears to be approx 12 seconds ahead of the time shown on BA - see image.
Why would this be the case?:?

BA takes it's time from your PC clock so you'd need to check that's correct.

No idea where BetTrader takes it's timing from, you'd have to ask them, it's possible it's taking it from their own servers as it's effectively acting like an an online app

I cannot comment on BetTrader's application. I can only repeat what Captain Sensible has said. Betting Assistant gets the time from your PC's clock. If you view your PC's clock you will see it's exactly in sync with BA's display.

Thanks Gary and Captain Sensible.
I had wondered in case BT was somehow getting data earlier than BA, though didn't think that would be possible.
I expect as the Captain said, their time is coming from their server. The time on my PC clock should be accurate as it auto syncs with an Internet time server.
Thanks for the help.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
