Time and Other

Postby gvigliani » Tue Jan 31, 2012 9:37 pm

Dear Gary,
I even found an idiosyncrasy in the beautiful jewel by Gruss. The problem is that I want ports. The BA, I noticed that it takes time, and then the countdown clock of the PC. Unfortunately, this creates problems with regard to the actual start of the race and then setting the play. Here's an example: I have 3 PCs with the exact same set BOT. All 3 PC's have to gamble the time '0 'of the BA. However, computers are not perfectly aligned in terms of hours, and between one and the other there are only a few seconds difference. The result? A PC in its wagers hour '0 ', the latter in turn to bet its time '0' but that will correspond to 5-second delay compared to the first and the third may not wager at all because Betfair went to Suspended. The whole, not taking into account that the odds may have substantial differences. It would be possible to combine the countdown of the BA with an external clock the same for all PCs connected to the Betting Assistant.

thanks

You can correct the time at the 3 pc and synchronize them each other using the same global time - from the same site-
I think you can do it very often - somehow-

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
