Betfair down again!

Postby RJM » Sun Aug 19, 2012 4:12 pm

Absolutely, wonderful - just "greening-up" and now cost me over £250.00!

Will they void the race?

I am sure they will do the decent thing.

I wouldn't bet on it.

Well, I have just checked the account and the balance is back where it should have been.

Now, I can't log-in again!

I have been robbed a few times by their crashes in the past.

I am finishing for the afternoon - had enough today.

I just checked my account - I was so lucky that Betfair must have processed my request just, before crashing. (The transaction was showing open on Gruss.)

So, fortunate in this case as I have lost out badly in the past when these crashes have occurred.

The API always takes longer to get back online than the website. Appears to be working now.

Not the best of weekends. Betfair down today, tagadab down for eight hours yesterday. Wonder if the heat caused the betfair outage, that's what tagadab blamed...

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
