Postby jocoyle77 » Mon Apr 22, 2013 11:03 pm

Im sure there is a simple answer but im struggling to find it.

How do I )and I am a very new user) how can I set up a bet to be place once the price reaches 1.07 and only then ?

Help will be very much appreciated.

Hi,

You can either use the Conditional Bets feature in the software or use the Excel triggered betting feature.
Please be aware that you can't guarantee being matched at exactly 1.07 as when you request your bet the odds may have become better and therefore you get matched at the better odds but the bet won't be requested until the odds have reached 1.07 if you set it up correctly.

Thank you for the response.

Makes sense , That's what I was after - is it easy to set up ?

is there some guidelines anywhere?

I think I have worked it out.

So I put 1.07 in the price , make sure it's on BACK - what does the column that say's last price matched mean?

just so you know I want my bet to run. so im not to bothered about the time - do I just leave that column blank?

Thanks again Iain

Hi,

So in Conditional Bets you can specify at what point your bet should be triggered, e.g. if the last price that has been matched is 1.07 or the best back or lay odds are 1.07

With regards to the trigger time, don't leave it blank, just leave it as is.
When you open the Conditional Bet the time will be the current time meaning that Betting Assistant will start monitoring the odds from the moment you click on the Active checkbox.

Tick the "Allow bets to be placed in play" box if you want that to happen.

And please note that you must keep the market open in Betting Assistant for the Conditional Bet to be triggered.

You can tell if a Conditional Bet is active because the Red C on Grid Interface will have a blue background.

If you open another market even if you subsequently come back the Conditional Bet will have been cancelled.

If you need to open another market then you can do so by opening a new page.

Regards,
Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
