3 second delay??

Postby TheLongGame » Wed Mar 26, 2014 5:09 pm

Hi
I wonder if anyone can help and tell me why there is a 3 second delay imposed on the level out green button??
Im sure its always been instant.
I posted the other day about the second delay flashing up in the balck strip on the bottom of the screen in red, and was informed there has always been a second delay.

Its only recently this has flasehed up on my software, is this a new addition to gruss or has there been changes at betfair?

many thanks guys
So many angles!!

hi
these are approx. the in play delays by market (it is indicative - the source is old)

If you were greening with below the minimum stake it would take 3 times more for your bet to get in the market (is the way BA and all other software place this kind of bets)

Horse Racing – 1 second
Soccer - ranges from 5 – 8 seconds depending on the latency of the feed. 95% of games are 8 seconds though
Tennis – 5 secs
Golf – 5 secs
Cricket – 5 secs
Specials/Politics – 5 secs
American Football – 5 secs
Darts – 3 seconds
Power Snooker and Snooker Shoot-out – 3 seconds (all other snooker 5 seconds)
Greyhounds - 1 second
Baseball (MLB only) – 6 seconds
Ice Hockey (NHL only) – 8 seconds
Track Athletics – 1 second
Swimming – 1 second

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
