The only triggers not shown in the help file are UPDATE for updating odds and UPDATESTAKE for updating the stake. These are only available in version 1.1.0.21 which is not officially released which is why the help file does not show them yet to avoid confusion.

There is also an alternative use for the tick offset trigger in version 1.1.0.21
You can use BACK-TF1.5 for example to the fire the offset bet at fixed odds of 1.5 instead of a relative number of ticks lower.

Hi Gary, can you expand on the new fixed odds offset triggers? I'm just messing about on the test beta and the new trigger as you describe it doesn't seem to work.

eg LAY-T2.8 just offsets by 3 ticks

Sorry, I should know my own program by now

I forgot to say the trigger should be TF eg. LAY-TF2.8

I have edited my original reply to avoid confusing other users reading this forum.

Gotcha, makes more sense! Doesn't look like it combines with auto-greening, is that right?

eg LAY-TFL2.8 or LAY-TLF2.8

Also on an aside are there any plans to include a free-lay trigger to complete the range of offset options? Would be happy to have an excel trigger for it without there being an option on the main interface yet!

Pretty simple the offset amount (for both back and lay) is:

(placed odds - 1) x stake / (offset odds -1)

LAY-TLF2.8 will auto green.

Yes a free lay trigger is a good idea. I'll see what I can do.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
