Rank

Postby Chad » Thu May 13, 2010 9:51 am

Hi I was wondering if there was a way to use the RANK command to determine the fav before the off. Then to either back or lay it in running. If the price either came in or went out to a set figure.

place this formula in AK5 cell & drag down to AK50
=IF(F5="";"";(RANK(F5;$F$5:$F$55;1)+COUNTIF($F$5:F5;F5)-1))

you see this also

you can see Gary's example here

finally there is a search facility

Hi Mak
Thanks for the help. Would this be able to take a snap shot of the rank say 10secs before the off or would it be continually changing.

you have to place a formula like this one (provided from Gary)

=IF(LEFT(D2)<>"-";(HOUR(D2)*3600)+(MINUTE(D2)*60)+SECOND(D2);-((HOUR(SUBSTITUTE(D2;"-";""))*3600)+(MINUTE(SUBSTITUTE(D2;"-";""))*60)+SECOND(SUBSTITUTE(D2;"-";""))))

and work out your trigger to place the bet accordignly

The formula as you will find out will work as seconds countdowner of cell d2

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
