Excel SP trigger

Postby Shaun » Tue Aug 24, 2010 5:09 pm

I have not used this trigger in the past and just need some clarrification on use
BACK-SP this is the correct syntax?

The other question is, if i use this trigger does the bet get place right away but the odds will be SP so it won't use the current odds on the screen?

BACK-SP is the same as BACK except that if it is not matched when the market turns in play it will be matched at SP.

To place an SP straight away which displays SP as the odds you need to use BACKSP. The odds column should contain the minimum odds you are willing to accept. If the minimum odds are not available at in play then the bet will be cancelled.

Just need to double check on this, will CANCEL-ALL still work with the BACK-SP trigger.

Hi

Kinda new here, so excuse possibly dumb question... So if you place a BACK-SP bet (rather than BACKSP) and it's not matched before the off, will this be converted directly to a BACK bet at whatever the SP is when the market goes in play, or will it too (like BACKSP) take the value of the ODDS column as the minimum requirement before betting?

Thanks

It's converted to SP no matter what the odds.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
