You can't back runners @ 1000 for less than the minimum stake.

I take it that's Australian Dollars.

This is what happens when backing three selections for $0.10 each for example (all triggered at same time)

1) Place back bet for $5 at 1000 for each selection (exposure $15)
2) Update stake from $5 to $5.10 which creates three additional bets for $0.10 (exposure $15.30)
3) Cancel the $5 bets
4) Updates odds of remaining $0.10 bets to required odds (exposure $0.30)

For this to work you need at least $15.30 in your account (see step 2)
It can also fail at step 1 if the odds offered are already 1000 and therefore the bet gets matched instantly and cannot be updated in step 2.

So basically as long as you have enough funds in your account and the odds are nowhere near 1000 already you can back below minimum stake.

I didn't see what happened but i assume the second option is what happened as there was enough funds to cover it, i have added a rule not to back over 500 this will suit me fine.

But i will remember this in future when creating sheets.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
