I'm afraid I'm out of ideas. You could try uninstalling and re-installing in case it's not registered the COM dll correctly, but if that doesn't work then I'm at a loss.

That's nothing to do with the COM interface I'm afraid. It's normal for that to appear occassionally when Excel is busy. BA automatically retries when it encounters this error. This error message is only a problem when it appears constantly and Excel is not being updated at all.

What does the error code...

Run-time error '-2147024894 (80070002)':

File or assembly name BettingAssistantCom, or one of its dependencies, was not found.

...mean?

What it says really, it cannot find the .dll required for the COM interface. I don't know why in your case though because we've already been through the possible solutions.

Well, I've been away coding with the Free BetFair API and now wish to meld what I've created there with what you have.

I got the spreadsheet to work but only after removing all the code from the subroutine in the VBA.

I will gradually add code to see where the offending line is and let you know.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
