Help! Please Help,Gary!!!!

Hi Gary,

I don't doubt you're very busy, but I'm completely stumped on this one...

Here's the set up:

I have two pages open in BA, both connected to the same race.

In Excel, I have two worksheets in the same workbook. Sheet1 is connected to Page 1 in BA, and places lay bets. Sheet 2 is connected to Page 2 in BA, placing back bets-its a long story.....

But each time I've set this up before leaving for work, I've come home to fiind Excel(2003) has encountered an error and no bets have been fired.

I've attached the Excel error log below. Any ideas??

Those errors are normal. The important thing is the log says "Excel updated" regularly which means it is updating Excel and reading the triggers successfully.

Also those errors are from the logs in BA. Are you saying Excel itself is displaying an error message saying it has encountered an error? It's unlikely that BA caused Excel to crash in this way. You could try re-installing office if this is happening.

Cheers,mate.

Sort of got round the problem by using two separate workbooks.

Onwards and upwards, I'm still learning.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
