Problem with loading Australian markets + Slow API

I get a lot of problems loading Australian Markets. It takes 6-7 retrys before they are loaded. Also, lags are incredible, when trying to place the bet it takes a long time to see it confirmed, changes in the market are much slower then on Betfair web.

I tried it with Euro Football, and there is no problem at all.

I talked to another Betfair Assistant - same problem.

Update: now it won't load Australian markets at all...#38 and trying.

Australian markets are handled by a different API server and this server is located in Australia which makes response times inevitably slower under the best circumstances. You are obviously having connection difficulties to this server which are beyond our control. These problems could be at Betfair's end or with your ISP.

You can prevent the retries for loading Australian markets if it looks it's just not going to work by unticking "Include Australian markets" in quick pick preferences. It will still let you open preferences while the retry message is displayed.

You can also upgrade to the Beta version which has separate time out values for Australian markets. This should help when changing markets, but it's not going to solve the market loading problem on start up or slow bet placement.
