Yes. I will post an update within the next few days. Thank you for taking the time to do the remote assistance session, it helped solve the problem.

mickemick wrote:Just to add I have exactly same problem on one of my PC. Latest BA beta/Excel working with no probs at all on one of them but on another PC seems like BA is not recognizing the excel.

Both PC's with Windows 7/Office 2010...One of them with 64b version of Win/Office (this one works just fine), another is 32 bit versions....

Very strange, issue is resolved when downgraded BA to ver.65z1

I have fixed the problem alrodopial was having. I think you are probably affected by the same issue. I will release an update in the next few days. It is concerning non UK regional settings. The new version missed a crucial piece of code to make it work which was present in ver .65z1 which is why it worked.

It can be downloaded from the initial page of the site.
Submit your details in the form (again) and you will get the link

The new version is uploaded. See http://gruss-software.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?p=31250

I would be grateful if you could confirm that both methods now work, ie. connecting to a workbook that is already open and using the browse button to open a workbook.

Confirming the first method working, connecting to a workbook that is already open = OK

The other method still doesn't work here.....

It's probably just a case of applying the same fix to the second method. I will release an update tomorrow and you can confirm if it works.

I still have problems with the browse button but sometimes it opens correctly a new instance of excel.
I'll try to figure out the exact conditions where the problem occurs and then post back.

Without been 100% certain, problems occurred when there was an instance of excel that hasn't been closed correctly.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
