trigger problem place bets

Postby craigy » Wed Feb 23, 2011 2:06 am

Hi All
I am trying to automate excel so I can bet or lay a greyhound favorite depending on its box draw.
I have modified the sample sheet place_bets so it looks for a rank and price. In the selections col I have a if function asking for the criteria and if true placing the selections name from the market sheet into the selections col. I only need one cell in the selection col as I am laying the same box number each race.
I get the dogs name into the selections col ok along with stake and LAY but I am not getting a trigger.
I have used place bets sheet before ok but I am not sure what I am doing wrong here. Thanks for any help.

Greyhound names are usually prefixed with a number. Are you including this in the selections sheet?

For example 11:30 Hall Green
"Watch Out Crash" has to be entered as "4. Watch Out Crash"

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
