Hi
I was looking for some help in ranking the standard Betfair results which are available from <
http://promo.betfair.com/betfairsp/prices/ >
I identify a number of LAY selections each morning which have been performing OK at level stakes for some time. However, I have noticed that those selections that drift out of the first three favourites before the off seem to be performing far better than the LAY selections as a whole. This is only something I have noticed in passing and I would now like to look back at the selections and make a more thorough check using the betfair SP prices as a guide
I know how to use the basic RANK function in Excel, but I have had to resort to manually changing the ‘ref’ for each race in the RANK formula. So the first race may have the Formula =RANK(H2,
$H$2:$H$22,1) and the second race I manually amend the formula to =RANK(H23,
$H$23:$H$34,1). I’ve only been doing this for a couple of days worth of results, and it’s a slow and painful process
Is it possible to create a formula that I can simply drag / copy down the whole spreadsheet and is able to RANK the runners based on SP in each race and also distinguish between races.? I imagine this formula would need to refer to column D (EVENT_DT) to allow it to distinguish between Eg. 03/04/2011
13:40 and 03/04/2011
14:10, etc ..
Thanks
