Horse notes for Bdaq

Postby DFK » Tue Jul 19, 2011 11:40 am

Just discovered horse notes on BA for Bdaq which is very handy, but I can't get it to work, I have it pointing to horse notes on my desktop in files but they are not showing. I also have BF open pointing at the same file could this be a problem?

It's still early Beta so it might well be a bug. I'll look into it.

It will be a different file when I have resolved this.

Will it be possible to import notes from the betfair version too? Looking at the xml file shouldn't be a major problem other than where the names are listed differently

I will look into it, but Betfair might consider it a dual exchange type feature.

Just looking at this now. It is working, but it is a different file name. Were you expecting it to read the file BA_Horse_Notes.xml? It actually reads the file named BA_Betdaq_Horse_Notes.xml. You could copy BA_Horse_Notes.xml and rename it to BA_Bedaq_Horse_Notes.xml. Just remember that anything you update will only update the file for that particular product. You could just update them in one product (Betfair or Betdaq) and take periodic copies.

Thanks Gary, it is not ideal as I do huge amounts of notes, but it means we can use Betdaq more especially when BF is down !
Typo- ( BA_Bedaq_Horse_Notes.xml.)

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
