Newbie Inrunning help required,

Postby KAUTOSTARRING » Mon Dec 26, 2011 6:50 pm

Evening guys, thanks for ur time

Im pretty new to Gruss and playing inrunning and just trying a few things out and was hoping someone would be able to offer me some advise or information on where i may be going wrong.

Im trying to Lay horses inrunning, at 3 different levels --for example 3.50, 8.00 and 16.00.
Ive managed to set up my custom columns no problem to do this for me, but would like some advise on being able to take it to next stage of what im intending to do.

I was intending to lay (for example) at 8.00, and then put an order into the system to 'back' this selection back when its price drifts to 17.00 (for example).
I dont want to have a 'level profit' - but just to guarantee it covers any risk.
I.e - in a 8runner race, lay the selection at 8.0 - which then drifts successfully to 17.00, leaving me a level profit of £10.00 (for example) on 7 remaining runners, and 0.00 risk/profit on the selection which was laid in the first place.
Is that possible to do?

I tried a few things this afternoon, but was confusing myself. Managed to have 'all' profit on the selection i laid at onepoint - which is totally what i dont want, and on another occasion I had Level profit across all 8 runners, again what i didnt want.

Do i need to adjust the tick offset, or any other way around this at all??

Any info or advise would be great. Thanks for time and help

Sorry that option is not available. You can either have level profit or a free bet on that selection. The option you require will be available in a future release at some point.

yeh i agree, would be ideal..
same theory as backing a horse and covering your stake laying it back later in the race..just with laying instead..

obviously means more profit on the other runners for you too when you level profit.

At least i know i wasnt just being thick and not able to work it out for myself! :)

look forward to updates, thanks

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
