How to show 2 Euro (£1.66) bets in BA and Excel?

Postby Castillo » Fri Mar 30, 2012 1:41 pm

Is the minimum bet on Betfair GBP 2; EUR 2; AUD 5; USD 4; CAD 6; SGD 6; HGK 25; NOK 30; DKK 30; SEK 30 ?
The only reason I ask this is that I’ve noticed a lot of bets at £1.66 which is the current exchange rate (2 Euros = 1.66770846 British pounds)

The problem with this is that these bets are not being shown in the grid interface in BA and therefore not shown in Excel spreadsheets.
So when placing a bet, you may think you are at the front of the queue, but in fact there may be many 2 euros bets in front of you which are invisible…very frustrating!

Is there a way to make these bets visible if trading in GBP?

My guess is that these bets you are seeing are on the dogs?
If they are I can assure you that they are "bot" bets and even if you could
see them and place any bet in front they will simply jump ahead of you
again. That is until the prices become either untradeable or generous to a
fault, in which case they will stop.

Hope this helps - Michael

P.S. This is the main reason I have personally eased up on greyhounds.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
