Excel bet placement error

Postby Graham » Wed Jan 09, 2013 2:15 pm

Any idea what this means? I can't see it in the user guide. There is also no mention of it in the transaction log.

Excel bet placement error. Attempted to log bets from latest list.

Thanks

Graham

Possibly an API problem not catered for. The diagnostic log may be of more help. Is it happening all the time?

Only time I've seen it happen (although I rarely sit watching for errors). Just wondered what it meant. Below details from diagnostic log. It's not a problem though, so please don't go to any trouble over it.

09012013 13:21:21:798: updateBets error, ref: 24471841142, result code:BET_TAKEN_OR_LAPSED
09012013 13:21:21:798: Excel bet placement error:System.IndexOutOfRangeException: Index was outside the bounds of the array.
at Betting_Assistant.Excel.multiBet(Int32 first, Int32 last) in C:\Betting Assistant Beta 1_1_0_66x68\Betfair Trading API Beta\Excel.vb:line 3328
09012013 13:21:22:048: Could not log refs from bet placement results. Fetching list of latest bets to compare.

THanks,

Graham

Possibly just a glitch. If it happened on a weekend, then that's pretty much normal to me.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
