Recording data, but not beginning in cell A1?

Postby London_Calling » Wed Jun 14, 2006 7:54 pm

as the title, really.

I would like to record football data (example: unders and overs, 0-0 and 1-0 and 0-1) on the same worksheet, side-by-side rather than on separate workbooks.

I'd imagine it's dead simple or near impossibe - any suggestions very gratefully received !

cheers.

you could try sticking them on separate sheets then stick the bits you want all on one sheet using references like =+Sheet1!O8 =+Sheet5!A2 etc

Can't you just change the top Left Hand Cell value when you select Excel>Log Current Prices? Otherwise CS's suggestion is the only way.
...it maekesh me do a shecks wee...

After rooting around for a while, I did find a solution . . . if anyone is interested:

You can create links from one workbook to another, inserting whatever range you want from the source workbook into the dependent workbook - the phrase that gets you there is 'creating external reference formulas' (sounds grand, it's actually copying and pasting in a particular fashion).

Anyway, it's operating as I wanted, as we speak, so bob-a-job.

Cheers for your tips and help, lads.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
