using a trigger modifier

Postby samspringer » Fri Oct 25, 2013 10:06 am

I want to BACK and submit an auto level profit Lay at 30% lower odds.
I think this modifier is the one to use :

Back-pl30-Ipc

My question is - do I have to clear the back bet reference for the lay to fire - and if so how?

Hi,

No you don't have to clear the bet ref.

As soon as the back is matched the lay bet will automatically be submitted.

OK that works great.

Is this possible ?

BACK-SP-PL30-IPC

( maybe the IPC is not needed as the race will already be in-play when the BSP is matched)

or is there another way to trigger an offset bet against BSP ?

Hi,

You can trigger a BSP bet as follows:-

You can use BACKSP to trigger a BSP bet straight away.
In the odds column put the minimum odds that you are prepared to accept.
The minimum stake for an SP back bet is 2 GBP (or the local currency equivalent).

Alternatively, you can use BACK-SP which converts unmatched back bets to SP at the off.
In this instance you could use odds of 1000 to ensure the bet is unmatched before the off.
The advantage of using BACK-SP means that you can cancel the bet before the off if you wanted to.

And you can add Tick Offset also so in your example you could use either:-

BACK-PL30-SP
or
BACKSP-PL30

Make sure you fill in the odds and stake columns accordingly as per my explanation above depending on which method you use.

Regards,
Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
