Prevent multiple bets

Postby Murf » Sun Nov 10, 2013 1:34 pm

Hello!

I have a small problem and i cant find a suitable solution. I have a sheet that cycles through the qpl every x-min. Once the odds are right, BA fires a bet. So far so good. But when the cycle starts all over again it will fire an other bet if the odds are still ok. How can i prevent this second bet? I cant use the selection name the "my bet-log" because it should run fully automated. As im betting on tennis, one player goes one round further in the tournament and the selection name colides with the game a day bevore.

I hope you get my problem as my english is very limited :-)

Thanks for any advice.

At the time of a successful bet you must store the event name and your selection.
In the next cycle the stored event name and the selection name will have to be checked and as long as one of them is different a new bet can be placed.

I used to have a bot cycling thru the markets and just used the MyBets sheet to see if bets had been placed, if so it just wouldn't bet again unless they'd been balanced out.

The MyBets sheet will only load up bets for that market so I'm not sure why you can't use it, otherwise you can always use other indicators like the pnl columns within the market, or just log the market and bet each time you fire a bet off to decide whether to bet or not.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
