Commission rate

Postby wizardofmann » Mon Apr 14, 2014 10:06 am

The commission rate shown on my BA page does not show the correct rate. it is lower than the rate shown on my Betfair account!

Any ideas why please?

Have you possibly been logged in to BA since yesterday? If you have, and you haven't loaded a new market, your commission rate may have changed today as a result of weekly points decay.

If that's the case, load a new market, and you will see the commission rate change on BA.

If it's not the case, then ignore me completeley!

For me BA shows 5% like always. In the meantime Betunfair has raised it for
many countries they don't like above 5% but BA doesn't seem to know that.
So BA shows wrong commission rates to a lot of people.

Hi,

Betfair have not amended the API data feed to show the new commission figures.
Hopefully this will be addressed in the next gen API.

Regards,
Mark

Thanks for that Mark............but

I have been on Betfair's chat line and this is the calculation for wotking out the commission. If ones discount rate is say 6% and commission is 5% then it's like this:-

6% divided by 100 = 0.06 x 5% = 0.03%

It's hardly worth having!

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
