In running prices - help

Postby wesdag » Thu Jul 10, 2014 6:49 pm

Hi, question below is posted for benefit of a friend on the BF forum:

I think i read on here a week or so ago that one of the big trading platforms was going over to the new api and will also be incorporating in running data...i know it is on fracsoft and timemachine but it is very expensive - betfairs graphs are not up long enough and timeform only shows liability of 100gbp..so not a true reflection after the event

Can anyone help with this? i think it may have been Gruss or another API product

any help is appreciated

Thanks

Hi,

All of the API products including ours will have to migrate to the next generation API by 1-Nov-2014 as Betfair will be switching the current API off on that date.
We are busy recoding Betting Assistant as we speak.
There are no plans for us to incorporate historical data in the next version.

Regards,
Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
