Thanks Mark,

However I need both unmatched bets plus their offsets to be placed in play when the initial bet is unmatched at the off. My reading of the IPC is that the initial bet will be cancelled if unmatched.

Hi,

In which case just use the IP modifier.

Thats the problem Mark..

If I use BACK-P50-IP and the bet is unmatched, it will be put in play but the green up offset bet (PL50) will not...

The offset will only be put inplay if the bet is matched before the off.

I need the offset to still stay attached to the bet when it is unmatched and put in play.

I hope that makes sense..

Regards

Ken

Hi,

No both parts of the bet should be kept in play.

Using the IP modifier; If the initial bet is matched before in play then the offset bet will have the keep in play persistence attached to it and if the initial bet is not matched before in play then that too will have the keep in play attached and the Tick Offset bet will fire as soon as the initial bet is matched whether that's before in play or after in play.
Unless you change markets before the Tick Offset is fired in which case it will be cancelled.

Mark

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
