Fetching Markets Problem

Hi,

I have been having problems in the last 3 or 4 days where although I can log on, I just encounter 'Fetching Markets, please wait ....' and it retries time after time. Just trying now and its up to retry 16.

I thought something must be wrong with the API yesterday when it did it - and then the API crashed for a couple of hours. It is however doing it again.

On previous days it has finally fetched the markets and everything after that point is then o.k.

Anyone else experiencing anything similar? My internet connection seems fine.

A general rule is that If something was working ok and now is not it's due to bf (most of the times)
At these cases there is nothing you can do

You can reduce the markets that ba is gathering info
ie let ba load races and soccer matches, no other market
Use the "star" icon just above market tree, untick the markets you don't want and untick the "all sports" box (this one is not mentioned in the manual)
You will see that it takes AMAZINGLY less time to download and fetch ie only the races
Also it is easy to ie load the soccer markets on the fly in the rare case that you want to ie check a soccer match while you are betting on horses

That was a tip I was unaware of. I think that will make a difference next time I log on.

Just tried a maket refresh and it's made no difference. Currently up to 11 retries for this refresh. Obviously the API is refusing the request to download the markets for some unknown reason.

I have had the same problem for a couple of days, since the site crashed, but while I was registering for the forum the markets have loaded, someone else was having a problem on the BF forum, so it looks like there are only a few of us experiencing the problem

Everything loaded up fine this morning. Maybe BF have done something at their end with the API. Time will tell !!
