CANCEL-ALL-LAY-KO and "Offset bet matched" column

Postby gizzard » Wed Jun 15, 2016 6:04 pm

I am using the CANCEL-ALL-LAY-KO trigger as designed but am having trouble then with the Offset bet matched indicator in an additional column.

What I am trying to do is to select the next market once all of the offset Back bets have been matched. I am trying to use the Offset bet matched indicator to tell me when they are matched by looking for a "Y" in that column for any remaining back bets.

I find that CANCEL-ALL-LAY-KO removes the Bet Reference once activated (it also removes Offset bet references in another additional column)i. From that, my understanding is that the Offset bet matched indicator is only effective if there's a Bet Reference so I don't know how I can then check the Offset bet matched indicator to see if the offset bet has been fully matched.

I realise that I can use the MyBets sheet (which I don't currently need) and check if all bets are matched from there but thought that the Offset bet matched indicator would do the job for me.

Can someone confirm whether the only way of doing this is through MyBets or how I use the Offset bet matched indicator?

Did you solve this?

Are you using VBA? Not sure if it would work but you could try save the bet ref before cancelling, then paste back after to check for match?

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I'm using VBA.

In the end the only solution that I could find was to use the MyBets sheet. I feel that there's a design flaw and this was the only way that I could find around it.

This forum used to be really good at providing fast, helpful answers but that seems to be in the distant past so I appreciate your suggestion.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
