Current unmatched odds

Postby Drunkenight » Fri Aug 18, 2017 6:41 pm

Hi, I use the following formula to extract the current unmatched odds from the 'MyBets' sheet :-

=IFERROR(INDEX(MyBets!$D$2:$D$200,MATCH(VALUE(SUBSTITUTE(T5,"P","")),MyBets!$A$2:$A$200,0)),0)

However if I have a bet which is partially matched, then this formula sometimes gives me the matched odds rather than the unmatched odds. The reason for this is because it depends which order the matched odds and unmatched odds appear in the 'MyBets' sheet. To be honest I don't understand the order in which the bets appear in the 'MyBets' sheet. It seems to be random.

So two questions.
1. What formula do other people use to extract the unmatched odds on a horse from 'MyBets'
2. Any ideas how I can change the formula to only give me the unmatched odds?

Many thanks in advance for any replies.

Use countifs instead, and reference the volume which shows if a bet is matched "F" or unmatched "U"

Hi Vanbuuts, thanks for the reply. Yes good idea. How would I use countifs to find the unmatched odds? Any examples would be fantastic.
Many thanks

I think most of us use VBA to check the status of mybets as it's a bit more control than long formulas , Gary's posted examples of extracting data from the MyBets sheets in his old green up formulas have a look at viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4659 see if it's any use.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
