Quick pick list and wait until off

Postby Fixador » Fri Apr 27, 2007 2:19 pm

hi All, i am a newbie with BA ver 0.99z40 - and what a fine piece of kit it is !

I have been tracking prices throughout the afternoon, by setting up the quick pick list , selecting ALL UK win races, then deleting races as necessary to ensure i have a 10 min gap between races. And all is working well using Markets : Auto Select : At specified time before OFF: and entered 10 . So i get to monitor the last 10 mins of each race prior to the OFF , then the quick pick list rolls the next race : Excellent stuff !

However - i have tried to monitor 'in-play' from the quick pick list , again with the 10 min gap between races ( as setup in the quick pick list) , i then selected Markets : Auto Select : Wait until the OFF..............But , I am finding, the quick pick list rolls to the next race - which is NOt in Play - say 30 secs into the prior race , and so i miss most of the 'in-play' !

What should i be doing to to be able to monitor 'in-play- through to suspended ?

cheers

How do you delete individual races from the quick pick list? I thought it was delete the lot and you could populate it manually.

As for watching races in play you could select the race to watch by auto select and when the time pop up comes up select .5 (that is 0.5) - the race will then appear 1/2 second before the off, or you could select 1 (that is 1.0) and 1 minute before the race starts the market will be loaded. I don't use the after off function so don't know how that works.

Hi Spud ,

To remove a race from the quick pick list : select it, it will load, and hit delete button, unfortunately - it seems it has to load before it will delete. To populate enmass - i use - ummm - Mkt: Add to quickpik list : then select ( for me ) : All UK win

Thanks for the intel, i tried entering 1 which seems to be 1 min before the race OFF. Not sure if this is good though, as my VBA coding at the end of the race ( in order to infer the winner from last odds traded ) will have to include a timer - say 20 secs for the F11 cell = suspended, and SUM(B14:M48)=0, and E11 = in play, and timer D11 being negative. Which is too similar to the changeover from not in play to inplay.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
