Back All Function

Postby Jimmy Mac » Sun Jul 22, 2007 3:16 pm

Hi'Garry, Tried Back All function today for the first time set @ 1.05 but all bets were matched at available odds resulting in a loss. It was my understanding that it would only back any horse that came down to 1.05?

Hope you didn't put too much on :) Back all does what it says on the tin - backs all at the odds you state. Never seen the point in back all myself as I doubt many ,if any, people use it.

You'll need to set up some excell triggers if you want to back only one horse at 1.05. There's a program out there called discombobulator ? that I think my do what you're looking for and it's free have a look at http://www.gubbed.com/betbot.html ,

nb Gary delete this if needed as I'm not connected with the prog , don't use it, or think it's in competition with yours.

But it works well and I use it most days. Only in running because it highlights the leader nicely. If you enable the bot part it will back automatically back at your parameters the way you describe and The Captain suggests.
WUBT - When U Bet Today - Betting Exchange Radio. A WUBT archive is still at www.rheagavin.com using Betting Assistant via Excel triggered betting. And a new blog at www.JuiceStorm.com.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
