Correct score market in Excel

Postby ddaann » Sun Aug 19, 2007 5:34 pm

0-0,0-1,0-2,0,3 and any unquoted are only showing correctly, all other are in 5 digit forum (i.e 39144
insted of 1-0). Tried formating cells in different modes to no avail.

is this data coming in from BA that's going to a 5 digit number?

Excel is being helpful and converting something like 2-3 as a date (2nd march)
(or at least along those lines)

As Ian says, you need to convert the cells to text format before entering in the data.
Is it data you are entering to excel or BA?
I thought everything from BA came through as text (which was why it could display time as a negative value)
previously known as Gaseous (on the betfair forum)

Directly from excel to API BA. It has been working fine so far on numerous markets, it seems only correct score is being affected.
As I said, Itried all kind of different cell formats to no avail.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
