No place markets

Postby keithg2 » Wed Feb 06, 2019 3:00 pm

Hi
I have downloaded the update 1.3.0.39 and the place markets are missing Horse racing - Todays cards. Can someone tell me how to add them, i have looked around but can't find them anywhere.

TIA

Hi,

If you want to add them to the Quick Pick List, go to the Market Menu at the top then into Add to Quick Pick List and then Horse Racing then UK/Ireland and finally All UK Place and/or All IRE Place.

Regards,
Mark

Hi Mark,

I too have noticed that the place markets do not show in the market tree. Whether this is by accident or design I am not sure.

The program automatically updated itself yesterday to ver 1.3.0.40. Everything is working fine and I can load the place markets to the quick pick list. It is just I cannot see if there are any associated markets (2 tbp, Rev f/c etc). I know I can load these into the quick pick list using the -> Add to quick pick list -> Search function, so it is not as though anything is missing. It is just that it would be quite useful to see them.

I have checked in preferences to see if anything needs ticking/unticking and I cannot see anything obvious. Any thoughts?

Thanks and regards.

Hi Julie,

I have now discovered that we can see all the markets. They are further up the market tree in Horse Racing -> GB -> Meeting Name. What seems to have changed is that only the win market is shown under Horse Racing - Todays Card.

Whether this has changed to reflect Betfair's new market structure I cannot say. Hopefully someone with greater powers than mine will be able to comment.

Hi,

We have added the Place Markets and other related Markets back into the “Today’s Card” part of the Tree.

The first time you click on that part of the Tree after opening Betting Assistant there will be a delay of a couple of seconds whilst all the related markets are added.

Thereafter, it will be accessible instantly.

To get the updated version first uninstall via Windows Control Panel and then install via the following link:-

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
