Excel Bets sheet and RESULT_NOT_AVAILABLE

Postby MatGreenaway » Mon Apr 01, 2019 8:15 pm

Hi,

I'm testing something new and it relies on knowing previous results. As I am using auto select, if a market switches before it is settled, the bet(s) from the previous race will show as RESULT_NOT_AVAILABLE and it would take a market switch to update again.

Is there a way I can force update this so after a market switch, it will check continually and update once that market has settled? I seem to remember triggers in J2 maybe to update the balance - would that do it?

Thanks,
Mat

I have realised I can use -2 and then -1 in Q2 to load the previous market and then the next market in the list which I guess will achieve what I need.

I'll test tomorrow

Thanks,
Mat

For Information Purposes:
All bets done manually using BA (not Excel)
My betting bank: 1437.84
BACK Stake 530.50 @3.85
New Balance; 777.76

LAYSP 500.00
LAYSP 500.00
LAYSP 437.84
LAYSP 74.09 (got sums wrong)

On race start BFSP was 4.27 and all LAYSP bets accepted, leaving the position as £0.08 for win and -£68.56 for a loss. Greened out for a loss of -£51.62
Sods law dictated that the horse won :(

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
