excel instances not found

Postby BertieBert » Fri Apr 26, 2019 12:03 pm

Usually don't have a problem with running 4 or 5 excel sheets on separate tabs, however today no matter what I try I can't get past two.

I've tried rebooting.

If I close my second instance and open another sheet I will be able to find it, however if I try to open a third Gruss can't find it, however it doesn't appear hidden to other apps.

Any idea what may have changed?

anybody else having this issue? or anyone able to open multiple instances?

I can close an excel sheet and start a new one and gruss will see that if its a first or second sheet, however if I try a third it just can't find it. driving me a little nuts trying to work out what has changed.

Is there a method or logic as to how gruss detects excel workbooks, as it seems random?

I've loaded three workbooks, started gruss and it only sees two, whereas other apps see the other workbook and instance of excel.

Hi,

The software should be able to see all open instances of Excel and all Worksheets within the open Workbooks.

It will not be able to see Sheets if there is any invalid VBA code behind the sheet.
Could this be the problem at all?

Regards,
Mark

It might be, its all hacky VBA written by me, however I don't think it is because if I close the first workbooks then it becomes visible? or if i open it as the first workbook it is visible.

embarrassing as it is, I didn't use the 'log multiple sheets quick link' before and was adding them individually.

fortunately when I use that it works fine.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
