Problem connecting to Excel

Postby vanbuuts » Sat Feb 29, 2020 9:48 am

I have previously had no issues, however I have revived GRUSS after a few months away. I have my Excel sheet open, and it shows as linked on GRUSS however the sheet is not showing the racecourse etc within the file so it is not pulling anything through

Further to my last, even selecting a blank workbook - and linking GRUSS to it does not pull any data through,

I guess there must be something simple - but can't figure it out at all, Help please

I have a similar problem with my laptop. It will never connect to the sheet first time, although the green banner says it is connected.

I have to connect to a blank workbook first then disconnect, then connect to the workbook I want.

When this doesn't work, I go into the blank workbook, select a range and delete the range. Then connect to the blank workbook, disconnect and connect to the workbook I want.

I don't often use my laptop for this reason, only when I can't be arsed going to my desktop.

I don't have any issues with my desktop or VPS.

Laptop is Windows 10, Office 2016
Desktop is Windows 10, Office 2010
VPS is Windows Server 2019, Office 2019

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
