All markets closed?

Postby vanbuuts » Thu Jul 23, 2020 9:42 am

Hi, I have just opened GRUSS (software 1.3.0.45l) - All today's horse racing markets are showing as closed? Have tried on 2 different PC's - anyone else having the same problem?

We have had a few reports of this, but have not been able to replicate the issue yet. It seems to be an intermittent API issue. The markets look ok now. Do you still have the issue?

Can you send a diagnostic log to admin@gruss-software.co.uk in case it caught something. Select "Open settings folder" from the options menu. The log files are in the "Diagnostic logs folder".

I clicked around a few markets, then went back to the horse racing and they appear now. Most bizarre?

My Excel Log multiple sheets function is also playing up - It wont save my changes and keeps reverting to an old sheet and trying to link to that however

Close BA and all spreadsheets then check the task manager for any Excel.exe processes and terminate them. Restart BA and see if you have the same issue with quick link.

Yes same problem Gary. It reverts to my old filename after clicking save and close

Strange. Never heard of this issue before. The file is named BA_Excel_Workbooks.txt and it is in your documents folder. Take a copy of it then delete it from the documents folder. Does it then let you save anything in the list?

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
