BA Bug 1.3.0.46 (latest version)

Postby Betscrew » Tue Aug 11, 2020 2:51 pm

Hi.
If a runner is withdrawn after a bet has already been placed, the "My Bets" list is corrupted (normally nothing shows), I un-ticked "display average odds...." and I managed to see something but still didn't look right.

On another matter, logging in was blocked by Bit Defender Total Security - error was something "unsecure login attempt blocked".

Thanks,
Betscrew

I will investigate the withdrawal issue. A screenshot in these circumstances would help.

It does not attempt to perform an unsecure login so no idea why Bit Defender would say that. Nothing has changed in the login code. All logins are over https which is secure.

The withdrawal issue seems to have been a glitch because the same scenario just happened but "My bets" was fine.

The login "problem" doesn't really bother me (I added an exception in Bit Defender) but I thought I'd point it out - attached two screen shots. The first is from Firefox, the second from Bit Defender.

That's our forum login. I thought you meant Betting Assistant itself. Our site defaults to https so maybe you are using an old link. If you use the following link to access the forum you will not get the warning.

I've noticed this a few times when playing lay bets under the min £2:

This bug still exists in the latest version - see screenshot.

Also, the reduction factor always shows as 23% (see second screenshot). In this case the real reduction factor was 2.175%.

Regarding the last screenshot, all the other data is also wrong - amount matched, last price matched and projected starting price (actual price was about 50/1).

I am looking at a market right now where it shows 23% incorrectly for the non runner. Hopefully I can find out what's happening. I will let you know asap.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
