Logging MyBets

Postby cjones198 » Mon Nov 09, 2020 4:43 pm

Hi all

A quick couple of questions if anyone knows the answer?

When logging bets on sheet MyBets, in what manner does it log bets?
And does anybody know of a way in which I can log each bet with its offset/stoploss?
Because I want to run more than 1 strategy so need to separate each individual bet and its counter bet (offset or stop loss)

Hi,

The MyBets sheet logs the current bets, i.e. the bets that you have placed on the current market that is linked from Betting Assistant to Excel.
When you move to another market the sheet is blanked, i.e. it doesn't record a history, only ever shows current bets.
There is no distinction made as to the method of the bet placement, i.e. whether the bet is from an offset function.

Regards,
Mark

Thanks for the reply Mark, ive sussed it now mate, i managed to seperate the different bots via, delaying the recording of the bet placed by 2 seconds. so as soon as my code triggers a bot, it places the bet BACK/LAY-BLAH-BLAH-BLAH, waits 2 seconds then records the bet reference on market page and then when the race goes in play it links it to the ones on mybets page using the bet reference number. sounds complex but theres 4 strategies being tested and it works now.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
