Sports missing from P&L statement

Postby tradeaj71 » Sun Nov 15, 2020 4:32 pm

I have noticed that some sports, periodically, are not shown in the P&L statement.

By way of example I had some settled bets in three Formua 1 markets today which are not showing up. As per the image attached, the P&L statement just has blank rows where these markets shoud appear and there is no "Motor Sports" in the drop-down list of Sports.

These markets do appear on the "Profit and Loss" section of the Betfair website.

OK. It appears that when I requested that report there were no active Motor Sports markets on Betfair and as such Motor Sport did not appear on the BA market tree.

Is this the reason that Motor Sport did not then appear on the P&L drop-down list and that no P&L results appeared on that report?

Now that there are active Motor Sports markets, these results are reported correctly.

I had the same with the US Masters on Sunday. When I went to Betfairs main site it was because they simply hadn't updated the golf there also.

It does rely on the sport being available in the current list of sports. This is the problem. I will see what I can do to work around this.

Thanks Gary.

Not a major issue, for me at least, but it would be nice to have this corrected.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
