Racing Back to Lay Question

Postby joben1 » Sun Jan 31, 2021 2:02 pm

Hi,

I want to place a back bet at just before the off and, once matched, place a lay bet at a percentage of the back odds that, if matched in play, will green up the bet. Is there an example spreadsheet that would be easily modified to do this? Cheers.

That sheet shows you how to match up selections and odds ranges, you'd just need to tweak to betting trigger so it'd do what you want with offsets . Here's a link to the various offset options

At the end of the day it's simple enough but alot depends on the minor details because if you're betting on lots of markets you don't want the sheet moving to the next race before that race has finished and any offsets sent. If it's just the odd race you may as well simply back them via the grid interface and set your offsets there and leave the tab open.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
