Postby GNASHER » Tue Dec 06, 2005 4:36 pm

Hi

Im using the excel triggered betting and all i am doing is setting the odds to say 1.05 the stake to say 100.00 and setting the trigger to LAY when certain criteria are met.

The problem is that when the bet is triggered an error appears saying
'please check the bet size?

I have enough money in my account so i cant work out whats wrong?

Any ideas please?

cheers

GNASHER,

Are you calculating the stake size if so it may be that you have more than
2 decimal places and that is causing the problem.

I suspect that is what is wrong with mine also.

Mind you I have tried Rounding my figure to 2 decimal places and it still gets the same result?

Gary or anyone anyideas?

Toma... are you using the ROUND function as opposed to just formatting the cell to 2 decimal places ?

Ian,

First chance I have had since the football kicked off....it worked a treat mate.

Magic!

Gnasher,

If you are just formating the cell it won't work what Ian suggested is using the ROUND function your calculation:-

ROUND(1.465, 2) Rounds 1.465 to two decimal places (1.47)

Hope that helps!!

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
