Time trigger when using excel

Postby 813615 » Mon Mar 15, 2021 6:09 pm

Hi guys, new user to excel and created a bot which has been going OK, placing a bet at the SP however quite a few get cancelled due to, I assume the markets moving too quick? I'd prefer to submit the bet 30 seconds or so from the off but can't seem to get it right, initially I reset the trigger simply to 'back' but then found it was placing the bet in play when the criteria was met which i didn't want, then tried using the countdown to say when it gets to between 30-40 seconds from the off put a '1' in a cell that counts towards other trigger cells to then place the 'back' bet but although the '1' was placed in the cell as i wanted it is not being recognised when totalling up so the trigger didn't work?? i've searched but to no avail so can anyone help please?
Many thanks

Use a spare cell to calculate the time til off (plenty of examples on the forum). Then you just need a bit of code in the trigger column using =if(and(A1<30,A1>0),”BACK”,””)

Changing A1 to the cell of your newly created time format

Hi, many thanks for your reply, I found some code which I used in a spare cell to convert the time, then in my trigger I used a similar code but instead of saying "back" I needed it to enter a "1" in a trigger cell. I also have trigger cells for odds and number of runners then a total column so when each trigger cell has a "1" in it the bet gets triggered, for some reason the "1" in the trigger cell generated by the countdown is not getting recognised? So assuming all criteria is matched I have the time cell trigger with a "1" in it, an odds trigger cell with a "1" in it, a number of runners trigger cell with a "1" in it but the totals cell which triggers the "back" bet (sum of all 3) still shows "2" not "3"? Hope that makes sense thanks

I think I've sorted it, the "1" wasn't getting recognised as it was inside speech brackets...many thanks

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
