P&L Formatting, Column X

Postby KESIMKESIM » Fri Jun 11, 2021 1:24 pm

Hi,

Gary/Mark or anyone else. I noticed that yesterday the P&L figure displayed in Column X changed to x.xx;0 i.e. ;0 was added to any displayed figure.

This has caused me a problem in my spreadsheets which uses the P&L figure in the decision making process when plaing bets.

Is this a BF or a Gruss issue ? and is it intentional and is it here to stay, as I'll have to figure out a work around.

Many Thanks for any information on this.

Regards, Ian

Hi Ian,

When you initially start logging to Excel, in the "Log Current Prices" window there is an option labelled "P&L contains win and loss figures in single winner markets" which will output the additional data in column X as you have described.

I'm guessing that you do not wish this and therefore you just need to untick that option.

Regards,
Mark

Many Thanks for this Mark.

Yes, this was the problem. I must have unknowingly somehow clicked the tick box on that particular day and didn't realise what I'd done. I've managed to go literally years without ever doing this and didn't even realise what the tick box did until now.

Once again, many thanks.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
