Not at present, but I will add this ability in the near future. I don't think I'll make it update on every refresh as this could put an unnecessary load on Betfair's server. I may provide a custom function you can use in Excel which will query the site when needed.

The question makes sense. As far as I know you would have to resort to writing a custom function in VBA. When I put the example spreadsheets up I will include something.

If someone has already done this I would be grateful if you could post the answer here.

Here is something which might work

Eg: you wanted to remember the home price in a football match when the match was suspended.

For this example
Cell A1 = Home Price
Cell A2 = Match Status

Cell A3 = Cell to be kept

=IF(A2="Suspended",A3,A1)

This will constantly update cell A3 with the latest price but will refer to its self if the match is suspended.

The only downside is a circular reference is created, this can be solved by selection OPTIONS and setting the number of itterations to 1.

It'd be good if the matched/unmatched bets ...

could be included in the spreadsheet. So you could balance books when various bets have been triggered.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
