nor runners and excel

Postby alrodopial » Sat Jan 08, 2022 11:12 am

Hi,
Does anyone knows if the cell G3 that displays the current non runners is reliable?
Does it updates correctly when a new non runner appears?
I want to avoid (in every update) checking the last 4 characters "(NR)" in horse's names , looking for non runners

Also Garry/Mark or anyone else

is there anything in the settings(?) that makes BA display and link to excel only the data from actual runners?
- in the case that a non runner appears while the market is already open and linked to excel

This will prevent from checking for non runners in every update

Thanks,
Happy New Year

G3 should be reliable as the data will be coming from the API. But Betfair are very lax with removing non runners especially close to the start. It's a pity that the cross matching on/off field isn't sent to excel as they switch that off as soon as they see there's a chance of a non runner.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
