Problem with upgrade to 1.3.2.6f

Postby KESIMKESIM » Mon Dec 04, 2023 4:30 pm

Hi,

I haven't been using Betting Assistant for a couple of weeks and logged on this morning and saw the upgrade happen. Unfortunately, when I tried to connect a spreadsheet an error was generated and the spreadsheet would not update with the horse race details

The error window that popped up stated "Run-time error 459, object or class does not support the set of events"

My code stopped running at the line "If ba Is Nothing then Set ba-New BettingAssistantCom.ComClass" which I believe was one of the standard lines that had to be incorporated in the code.

This spreadsheet & code has been happily doing its stuff for years, so I'm not sure what has happened.

In case of an update problem, I deleted Betting Assistant and installed a clean copy. I also checked that under Tools/Reference that the BettingAssistantCom reference was ticked just in case, but it still doesn't work.

Grateful if you could advise what the problem may be, so that I can get up and working again.

Many Thanks.

Hello Again,

I seem to have solved the problem. I simply unchecked and then rechecked the BettingAssistantCom reference in VBA and that seemed to do the trick on each of my spreadsheets.

Anyway, bye for now.

Thanks.

Sorry this can happen sometimes if the COM feature has been changed between versions. You found the correct solution.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
