ba hangs on loading market

Postby dgs2001 » Sun Apr 08, 2007 7:46 pm

Hi

I've registered and recieved an email saying that I will be able to pay through the link in the program but the subscription button just returns "cant get subscription info etc etc" also the market screen does'nt get past loading.

can anyone tell me whether this is a problem my end or an easter holiday for the developers ?

I'm not sure as my betfair balence gets returned so the program logs into my bf account ok.

Thanks duncan

I don't know about the subscription part but I can let you know that the markets did load here, though rather slowly.

I did have a problem linking to Excel with z32 - again it took a while for the pop up box to show and once it was linked Excel was refreshing once every 10 seconds rather than 300mS. I closed everything, shutdown the PC and restarted - still the same. I then closed Excel did a CTRL-ALT-DEL, killed the spurious Excel that was still running (it only ever happens when attempting to link BA and Excel) tried again with the same result.

I then used an older version of BA (z24) and it all worked fine. After I'd made my pennies for the day I did retry z32 and it also was working fine.

Thanks for the reply

I've managed to get Bet Trader up and running but not the API version

The api version logs in to betfair and returns my account funds and thats it!!

And as for making pennies well If I get to that stage I'll be too busy jumping up and down to type !!!

I'm still trying to iron out spreadsheet problems and VBA ignorance issues.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
