Postby pugs » Wed Apr 25, 2007 10:21 pm

I cannot download the beta version, every time i click install i just get loads of source code :(

I have intalled .net 2, i think.

Did anyone else have this problem.

Plus Gary, i still cant get Betfair scripts to work with verify bets ticked, i even tried it on my daughters pc so thats 3 different pc's all with exactly the same error.

Thanks.

I can't get it to download on my laptop either. Managed on the PC by unistalling net framework 2 and the setup prog loaded everything in . Sadly didn't work with the laptop which is a lot newer.

Try unistalling the .net framework 2 and then go to the download page again as it may work for you as it'll download the .net 2 at the same time..

I don't know if this is of any help but...

I couldn't download with IE6 and I don't want IE7 (apparently the download works with IE7 - but I have enough MS Bloatware).

It does download okay with Firefox.

So it seems use IE7 or Firefox and you should be okay.

Looks like I will have to set up a version which installs in the same way as the .Net 1.1 version after all, I will do this in the next few days.

Do you see a specific error message?

Thanks all,
I did try both suggestions several times and it always downloaded the .net 2 ok (ie6 and firefox) but would just display a page of source code after that, but many thanks for your help.

Gary since the last time Betfair broke your scripts and you repaired them, whenever i lay the field, with verify bets ticked, the top selection (fav) will submit at best lay price, not what i lay the field at.

Gary if they are working fine your end will you please confirm, then i will just keep trying things my end.

Thanks and gl everyone.

Sports betting software from Gruss Software

The strength of Gruss Software is that it’s been designed by one of you, a frustrated sports punter, and then developed by listening to dozens of like-minded enthusiasts.

Gruss is owned and run by brothers Gary and Mark Russell. Gary discovered Betfair in 2004 and soon realised that using bespoke software to place bets was much more efficient than merely placing them through the website.

Gary built his own software and then enhanced its features after trialling it through other Betfair users and reacting to their improvement ideas, something that still happens today.

He started making a small monthly charge so he could work on it full-time and then recruited Mark to help develop the products and Gruss Software was born.

We think it’s the best of its kind and so do a lot of our customers. But you can never stand still in this game and we’ll continue to improve the software if any more great ideas emerge.
